Social media has become an essential part of everyone’s life, including all aspects from social and peer interaction, to education and business. Some people love it and some people hate it, or just ignore it. For young generations and teenagers this is their normal.
Growth in the number of people who use social media platforms and the time spent on them has brought a lot of interest and concern among policymakers, teachers, parents, and clinicians about social media's impacts on our lives and psychological well-being.
Nowadays all social media platforms (at least the ones that I have used) offer a mix of personal and business use. Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn were created for personal interaction, but also became a venue for many aspects of business such as marketing and sales.
From a personal perspective, my social media use is limited to Instagram and LinkedIn. I am also a frequent user of YouTube (for all purposes), and Pinterest for home improvement ideas and purchase products.
My theme was chosen from the travel section suggestions. I
prefer it simple, clean and which offer a friendly navigation. I changed the
background to include food related image. I adjusted the widths to prioritize
the text of the post. I used the advanced options to select font and size.
The Blog will cover mainly posts on Food and Nutrition. I am
working on a project for a casual fast-food shop specialized in tapioca-crepe
meals. A nutrient-dense and high-energy snack that is based on the cassava
root, a “superfood” vegetable, naturally gluten-free, non-GMO
and vegan.
The Blog will have a link on the restaurant website. I am
planning to add different posts on nutrition with useful information, image
rich products and ingredients that will not only educate our potential
customers but also provide visitors with a good experience and encourage repeat
visits.
Optimizing the restaurant website and Blog will help deliver
better information to search engines, like Google, so that its content can be
properly indexed and displayed within search results.
I believe the current layout is adequate to the purpose of
the Blog. However, throughout the course and learning process, some adjustments
may be implemented to provide a positive first impression, easy navigation and
good experience.
